DRIED FLOWERS

all this while...i wondered how to dry fresh flowers...hmm....

so...as i had some balance of fresh flowers for my engagement last week, i tried to make the experiment :)

 these are the roses that future mother law put in the symbolic "tepak sireh"

taraaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..!!

cool, right?

chrysanthemums on the "hantaran" [gifts] from me for him

not so good for this one..but better than wasted just like that, right?

p/s: jadi sape2 nak bagi saya fresh flowers tu silalah ye.....tiada alasan "nanti layu" :P

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT [AGAIN =_=!]

it seemed too long that i didnt practice on sketching faces 

i did something this evening..4th try on sketching people..tried to draw a guy [2nd try for a guy then]

i drew it by referring to the original photo but still couldnt get the same figure [again =_=!]

and dont know whether i'm improving or not

huhuhuhu......tak sama kan? need to practice more

jangan ditanya siapa, memang tak serupa

FLOWERY SCHOOL SHOES!!

suddenly i felt like painting a shoe [should i say a pair of shoes??]

but i dont have any plain white shoes!!!!

so....................

just take my niece's school shoes as an experiment..!!!

huhu....

 

in the making....

can she go to school with this??

ok....there was a technical problem...

i sketched the flower using non-waterproof marker

so the result isn't so good

but i highlighted it with the fabric marker and add on some glitter sparkles

 

..and this is the "victim"..haha...the owner of the shoes :P

WHAT DID I DO??

i was suppose to practice with my tone, line n bla bla bla....

a friend taught me about lighting n bla bla bla...those basics that actually were taught by art teachers back in school

(but i studied the theory just to pass the exam before...never succeed in practical...my teacher drew n coloured for me in class..can u imagine???)

he asked me to practice with something real

something in front of me

huhu...not really good at it..

i love to use my imagination a lot

and do it my way...

but i like to learn something new too...

just to know even not really practicing it in my life

so.....

after doing just 1 sketch of some REAL

err....what is this??

but then my imagination flew away..

higher n higher...

i saw the car as a fish

err....coconut or tomato??

 poor bunny...

would the teacher be mad at her??

she just practice once

and her imagination gone too far

the car became a fish

the coconut looked like a tomato

everything was way too far from real

WATER COLOUR DISASTER

1st try using water colour after .....(bape tahun eh??)

kali terakhir guna warna air kat sekolah dulu kot...kelas seni last pun form 3..eh masa tu bukan guna poster colour ke?

i'm already 22 now....just imagine how long since i last touched those colours....

malas nak adjust la...i really hate that GREEN heart =_=!

so here's a poem i wrote the day after that water colour disaster ....

SEMALAM

hari ini sama dengan semalam
kelmarin dan hari-hari sebelumnya
semua seangkatan
tak banyak membezakan

hari ini masih membenci semalam
kasihan semalam
tak tahu hujung pangkal
tiba-tiba dibenci
kasihan sekali

gagalnya semalam
bukan satu kegagalan
gagalnya semalam
masih boleh dijayakan
gagalnya semalam
jangan dipadam
jahit dalam ingatan
kelak jangan diulang
belajar dari pengalaman

hari ini akan jadi semalam
sebaik esok bertandang
apalah dosanya menjadi semalam
esok datang pasti menghilang.

first try~glass painting

~last night i tried the peel N stick glass paint "glitters & sparkle" (semco crafts)...that was the 1st time ever...just wanted to see how it looked like (the outline)---that glass paint is just $1 (singapore) for 40ml....bought by my cousin for me..

~i used acrylic for the fill (blue)..i'm not good at using it so the result is not that great...

~i'm going to try again later..practice makes perfect!!

oil pastel+cooking oil O___0~ birthday present for my best cousin

biasanya saya cuma akan gosok permukaan yang telah diwarnakan dengan oil pastel (buncho).....tapi kali ini saya cuba untuk melarutkan sedikit minyak masak pada permukaan berkenaan (seperti yang diberitahu oleh rudy indera~seorang kawan yang sangat aktif dan hebat melukis).....saya tak pernah tahu pun sebelum ini...kesannya agak menarik...tapi tak perlu lah sapu minyak banyak sangat nanti lambat kering....

satu perkara yang saya perasan ketika menggunakan teknik ni....pasti ada seekor lalat yang melawat!!! minyak masih tetapa minyak walaupun ia belum digunakan untuk menggoreng...masih ada daya tarikan makanan...heheh....
